An Act to amend the Riccarton Bush Act 1914

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Riccarton Bush Amendment Act 1972, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Riccarton Bush Act 1914.

(2)

This Act shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1973.

2 Board empowered to raise annual sum for maintenance

(1)

Section 10 of the Riccarton Bush Amendment Act 1947 (as amended by section 2 of the Riccarton Bush Amendment Act 1964) is hereby further amended by omitting the words “as from the first day of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, to levy upon the contributories an annual contribution not exceeding two thousand five hundred pounds, and as from the first day of April, nineteen hundred and sixty-five, an annual contribution not exceeding five thousand pounds”, and substituting the words “as from the 1st day of April 1973, to levy upon the contributories an annual contribution not exceeding $15,000”.

(2)

The Riccarton Bush Amendment Act 1964 is hereby consequentially repealed.
