An Act to amend the Jury Amendment Ordinance.
Preamble.
Whereas by an Ordinance of the Governor and Legislative Council of New Zealand intituled “An Ordinance to make temporary provision for the constitution of Juries”
Session III No. 2 it is enacted that in every District or County there shall be formed a Jury List in manner therein set forth and it is further provided that the Police Magistrate shall cause a copy thereof to be published in one or more of the Newspapers of the District or County and it is expedient to annul such last recited provision
Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows
I Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Jury Ordinance Amendment Act 1861.”
II Publication of Jury List in Newspaper no necessary.
Hereafter it shall not be necessary that any Jury List shall be published in any Newspaper.
