An Act to amend “An Ordinance to amend an Ordinance for regulating the sale of Fermented and Spirituous Liquors” passed by the Governor and late Legislative Council of the Colony Session Three number Twenty-five.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows—

I Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Licensing Ordinance Amendment Ordinance Amendment Act 1866.”

II Colonial Secretary may issue licenses in certain cases.

Except in such parts of or places in the Colony wherein the provisions of the Ordinance of the Governor and Legislative Council of New Zealand intituled “An Ordinance to amend an Ordinance for regulating the sale of Fermented and Spirituous Liquors” have been repealed or other provisions substituted by law in lieu thereof it shall be lawful for the Colonial Secretary for the time being to exercise all the powers duties and authorities vested in or conferred on the Governor or the Governor in Council by the second section of the said Ordinance.
