An Act to repeal “The Auckland Reserves Act 1863.”

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows—

I Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Auckland Reserves Act Repeal Act 1866.”

II “Auckland Reserves Act 1863” repealed.

“The Auckland Reserves Act 1863” is hereby repealed.

III Every grant made thereunder to be void.

Every grant from the Crown granting to the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland any land under the said Act hereby repealed shall be absolutely null and void and is hereby declared to have been null and void from the date of such grant.

IV Entries in Registrar of Deeds office to be cancelled.

Every entry in the books of the Registrar of Deeds relating to any land so granted as aforesaid under the said Act hereby repealed shall be cancelled by writing opposite thereto or across the face thereof the words “cancelled by authority of ’The Auckland Reserves Act Repeal Act 1866’” and such writing shall be signed by the Registrar of Deeds and such entry shall be thereby cancelled and thereafter be of no force or effect whatever.
