An Act to alter certain Customs Duties.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Customs Tariff Amendment Act 1867.”

2 Duty on coffee altered.

From and after the fifth day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven in lieu of the duty now levied upon coffee imported into the Colony or cleared from any warehouse for home consumption there shall be raised levied collected and paid unto Her Majesty her heirs and successors on all coffee imported into the Colony or cleared from any warehouse for home consumption the duties following that is to say—

Raw coffee per pound	Three-pence.
Roasted coffee per pound	Five-pence.

3 Blasting powder vegetable oils and rosin free.

The duties heretofore chargeable on the importation of blasting powder rosin and olive oil in bulk and palm oil are hereby repealed and the said articles shall be henceforth exempt from the payment of any customs duty whatever.
