An Act to direct the application of Fines levied under Acts or Ordinances providing for the prevention of the introduction and spread of disease in Sheep.
Preamble.
WHEREAS it is expedient that the sums of money arising in any Province from fines imposed under Acts or Ordinances of Provincial Legislatures thereof providing for the prevention of the introduction and spread of disease in sheep should be paid over to such Provinces to be applied in or towards the payment of the expenses incurred in preventing the introduction and spread of disease in sheep
Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Diseased Sheep Fines Appropriation Act 1867.”
2 Moneys arising from fines for scab to be refunded to Provinces.
All moneys which shall from and after the passing of this Act arise from fines and penalties inflicted upon owners of sheep or any other persons whatsoever under or by virtue of any Act or Ordinance of any Provincial Legislature providing for the prevention of the introduction or the spread of disease in sheep and for the cure and remedy thereof or any like purposes shall be taken and deemed to be Provincial Revenue of the Province in which the same shall have arisen and shall be paid over to the Provincial Account of such Province.
