An Act to extend the Time within which Rehearings of Claims under “The Native Lands Act 1865”
may be granted.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Native Lands Acts Amendment Act 1870.”
2 Section 20 of “The Native Lands Act 1869”
repealed.
The twentieth section of “The Native Lands Act 1869”
is hereby repealed.
3 Rehearings may be granted at any time within six months after original decision.
The limit of the time within which an Order in Council for a rehearing under the eighty-first section of “The Native Lands Act 1865”
may be made shall be such as was fixed by the said eighty-first section of the said Act anything in the said repealed section to the contrary notwithstanding This Act shall apply to decisions made heretofore as well as hereafter.
