An Act to amend “The Arms Act Amendment Act 1869.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Arms Act Amendment Act 1871.”
2 “The Arms Act 1860”
declared to have been in force as amended by “The Arms Act Amendment and Continuance Act 1861”
and amended and revived by “The Arms Act Amendment Act 1869.”
It is hereby declared and enacted that all the provisions of “The Arms Act 1860”
as amended by “The Arms Act Amendment and Continuance Act 1861”
and “The Arms Act Amendment Act 1869”
became and were in force on the passing of the said last-mentioned Act unaffected by the provisions of “The Arms Act Amendment and Continuance Act 1866”
and have unaffected as aforesaid continued in force hitherto and the provisions of the said first-mentioned Act which were altered or repealed by “The Arms Act Amendment and Continuance Act 1866”
became and were on the passing of “The Arms Act Amendment Act 1869”
thereby revived except so far as altered or repealed by such last-mentioned Act and by “The Arms Act Amendment and Continuance Act 1861.”
And to continue in force.
The provisions of “The Arms Act 1860”
as amended by “The Arms Act Amendment and Continuance Act 1861”
and as amended and revived by “The Arms Act Amendment Act 1869”
shall until altered or repealed by the General Assembly be and continue in force unaffected by any repeal or alteration thereof made by “The Arms Act Amendment and Continuance Act 1866.”
