An Act to amend “The Taranaki Education Reserves Act, 1871.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Taranaki Education Reserves Act 1871 Amendment Act, 1872.”
2 Section 62 of the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred may be granted to the Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki.
Notwithstanding anything contained in “The Taranaki Education Reserves Act, 1871,”
it shall be lawful for the Governor to grant the parcel of land in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, and numbered sixty-two on the plan of the Provincial Surveyor of the Province of Taranaki, to the Superintendent of the said Province, to be sold leased or otherwise disposed of in the same manner in all respects as other Waste Lands of the Crown in the said Province, under the laws for the time being in force relating to the sale letting and disposal of such Waste Lands in the said Province: Provided however that the Superintendent shall set apart and reserve out of such land a parcel of land, not being of less area than ten acres, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a blockhouse thereon for the use of the inhabitants of the said hundred.
