WHEREAS by “The Bishop of New Zealand’s Trusts Act, 1858,” and by “The Bishop of New Zealand’s Trusts Act, 1868,” the Bishop of New Zealand was empowered to convey all and singular the allotments or parcels of land held by him in trust for religious educational charitable or other purposes to Trustees to be appointed by the General Synod of the Branch of the United Church of England and Ireland in New Zealand: And whereas by the said recited Act power is given to the Trustees of any such land to lease the same for any term not exceeding twenty-one years: And whereas by “The Religious Charitable and Educational Trusts Act Amendment Act, 1865,” the like power of leasing is given to the Trustees of land held in trust for any Diocesan Synod: And whereas the said General Synod is desirous that for budding purposes all such Trustees as aforesaid should be empowered to grant leases for any term not exceeding sixty years:
