An Act to amend “The Westland Waste Lands Act Amendment Act, 1873.”

Preamble.

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend “The Westland Waste Lands Act Amendment Act, 1873:”

Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of thesame as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Westland Waste Lands Act Amendment Act, 1874.”

2 Interpretation.

In the construction of this Act, the words “the said Act” shall mean “The Westland Waste Lands Act Amendment Act, 1873.”

3 Rental for right to depasture.

From and after the passing of this Act, the upset price per acre per annum for the right to depasture stock upon runs put up for sale in the manner provided by the thirteenth section of the said Act shall be one halfpenny, instead of twopence, as in the said mentioned section; and all provisions of the said Act contrary to the terms hereof shall be deemed and taken to be hereby repealed.
