An Act to authorize the advance to the Province of Otago of a Sum of Money for the construction of Branch Railways.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Otago Provincial Public Works Advances Act, 1874.”

2 Advance to the Province of Otago of £60,000 for branch railways.

Out of the moneys authorized to be raised under “The Immigration and Public Works Loan Act, 1874,” and applicable to railways, there may from time to time be advanced any sum or sums, not exceeding in the whole sixty thousand pounds, to the Provincial Account of the Province of Otago, for the construction by the Superintendent of the said province of branch railways, such advance to be made on such terms and conditions as shall be agreed upon between the Minister for Public Works and the Superintendent of the said province.
