The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Outram Electric Telegraph Station Reserve Act, 1875.”

Notwithstanding that the said piece of land has been so reserved as aforesaid, and notwithstanding anything contained in the said Act, the said land shall forthwith, upon the passing of this Act, vest in Her Majesty the Queen, and shall be taken and held by Her Majesty as a site for an electric telegraph station or for the purposes of other public buildings for the use of the General Government of the colony, without any notification to the Superintendent of the Province of Otago that the same is required for the purpose aforesaid, or publication of any notification in the New Zealand Gazette, as effectually as if the said land, had been waste lands of the Crown reserved for the purposes in this section mentioned under the provisions of the twelfth section of “The Waste Lands Act, 1858.”
