An Act to amend “The New Zealand University Act, 1874.”

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act shall be “The New Zealand University Act 1874 Amendment Act, 1875.”

2 Section 23 of “New Zealand University Act, 1874,” repealed; other provisionsin lieu thereof.

Section twenty-three of “The New Zealand University Act, 1874,” is hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof it is enacted as follows:—

The said Senate shall have power, after examination, to confer the several degrees of Bachelor and Master in Arts, and Bachelor and Doctor in Law, Medicine, and Music, and such reasonable fees shall be charged for the degrees so conferred as the Senate shall from time to time direct.
