The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Treasury Bills Extended Currency Act, 1876.”

In order to provide for the payment of the principal moneys of any of the Treasury Bills issued under the authority of “The Provincial Public Works Advances Act, 1874,” and under “The Provincial Appropriations Extension Act, 1875,” the Colonial Treasurer may order the preparation and issue of a like amount of Treasury Bills.

All Bills made out under the authority of this Act shall be prepared made out and issued in the manner prescribed by “The Treasury Bills Regulation Act, 1868,” and any Act amending the same, and shall bear interest at any rate not exceeding six pounds for every one hundred pounds by the year in respect of the whole moneys contained therein, as the Colonial Treasurer may from time to time fix, and such Bills may be renewed and reissued from time to time.

The currency of the Bills made out under the authority of this Act shall in no case be made to extend beyond the first day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.
