An Act to amend “The Mercantile Law Amendment Act, 1860.”

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Mercantile Law Further Amendment Act, 1878.”

2 Bill of exchange validly accepted if signed by drawee.

An acceptance of a bill of exchange is not and shall not be deemed to be insufficient under any Act or law by reason only that such acceptance consists merely of the signature of the drawee on such bill.
