An Act to continue in Operation “The Westland and Grey Education Boards Act, 1885.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Westland and Grey Education Boards Act Continuance Act, 1887.”
2 Section 4 of principal Act amended.
Section four of “The Westland and Grey Education Boards Act, 1885,”
is hereby amended as follows: The word “six”
in the second line is hereby repealed and the word “seven”
inserted in lieu thereof, and the word “three”
in the said second line is hereby repealed and the word “four”
enacted in lieu thereof.
3 Principal Act continued until repealed.
“The Westland and Grey Education Boards Act, 1885,”
shall be and continue in operation until repealed.
4 Tenure of office of members of Boards.
The several members of the Education Boards of Westland and Grey nominated or elected under “The Westland and Grey Education Boards Act, 1885,”
shall continue to hold their offices until the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, and no longer.
