An Act to amend “The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877.”
Preamble.
WHEREAS it is doubtful whether “The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877,”
applies to Poultry, Dog, Pigeon, and Canary Associations: And whereas it is desirable that such associations should come within the range and scope of the said Act:
Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1893.”
2 Interpretation of “live stock.”
The words “live stock,”
wherever occurring in “The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877,”
shall be taken to mean and include horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs, poultry, pigeons, canaries, and animals and birds of kindred varieties.
