An Act to extend the Operation of “The Bank-note Issue Act, 1893.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Bank-note Issue Act 1893 Amendment Act, 1894.”
2 Section 4 of “The Bank-note Issue Act, 1893.”
Period extended.
Notwithstanding anything contained in section four of “The Bank-note Issue Act, 1893”
(herein termed “the said Act”
), the provisions of Part II. of the said Act shall continue and be in force until the second day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, and, if at the end of that period Parliament be not in session, then until the commencement of the then next session of Parliament, and for two months thereafter, but no longer.
3 Section 5 of said Act amended.
The words “and the reserved profits,”
at the end of the first proviso in section five of the said Act, are hereby repealed.
