An Act to further amend “The Criminal Code Act, 1893.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Criminal Code Act Amendment Act, 1895.”
2 Louis Chemis to have right to apply to Court of Appeal for new trial.
Notwithstanding anything contained in “The Criminal Code Act, 1893,”
the prisoner Louis Chemis now in Her Majesty’s Gaol at Lyttelton, under conviction for murder, shall have the right to apply to the Court of Appeal for a new trial, as provided in the four hundred and sixteenth section of the said Act.
