An Act to amend “The Public Bodies’ Powers Act, 1887.”

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act is “The Public Bodies’ Powers Act 1887 Amendment Act, 1896.”

2 Definition of “leasing authority,” in principal Act, amended.

The words “leasing authority” in “The Public Bodies’ Powers Act, 1887” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), shall be taken to extend to and include the trustees of any property held for religious, charitable, educational, or scientific trust purposes, whether now or hereafter incorporated under “The Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trust Boards Incorporation Act, 1884,” or not.
