An Act to amend “The Harbours Act, 1878,”
in so far as respects the Wellington Harbour Board.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Harbours Act Amendment Act, 1897.”
2 Wellington Harbour Board may contribute to improvement of Somes Island light.
The Wellington Harbour Board is hereby empowered to pay out of its general funds to Her Majesty the sum of eight hundred pounds, as a contribution towards the expense of improving the light known as the Somes Island light, anything in “The Harbours Act, 1878,”
or any other Act to the contrary notwithstanding.
