The Short Title of this Act is “The Cemeteries Acts Amendment Act, 1898.”

In the month of January in each year the Trustees of every cemetery appointed under the provisions in that behalf contained in “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” or any amendment thereof, shall make and furnish to the Audit Office a statement of accounts showing full particulars of all moneys received and paid by them as such Trustees during the year ending on the thirty-first day of December then last past.

Every such statement of account shall be examined and audited by the Audit Office under the provisions of “The Public Revenues Act, 1891,” and its amendments relating to the audit of accounts of local authorities, and no fees shall be chargeable for such audit.
