An Act to further amend the Law relating to Road Boards.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Road Boards Acts Amendment Act, 1898,”
and it shall form part of and be read together with “The Road Boards Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1888”
(hereinafter called “the principal Act”
).
2 Section 3 of principal Act amended.
Section three of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, next after the words “three hundred and forty,”
the words “and also sections three hundred and forty-three to three hundred and fifty-two, both inclusive.”
3 Arch Hill Road Board inserted in Schedule.
The Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting therein, at the end of that Schedule, the words “the Arch Hill Road Board.”
4 Board empowered to provide appliances for fire-prevention.
The Arch Hill Road Board is hereby empowered to provide the necessary appliances for fire-prevention from the unexpended balance of waterworks loan.
