An Act to exempt from Stamp Duty the Deed of Gift of Cornwall Park by Dr. John Logan Campbell.
Preamble.
WHEREAS by deed dated the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and one, and made between John Logan Campbell, Esquire, of Kilbryde, near Auckland, and certain trustees therein named, a certain parcel of land known as “Cornwall Park”
was transferred to the said trustees on trust for the general benefit of the people of New Zealand, as stated in that deed: And whereas it is expedient to exempt such deed from the payment of duties under any Act:
Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Cornwall Park Duties Exemption Act, 1901.”
2 Exemption from duties.
It is hereby declared that the said recited deed shall be exempt from all duties which but for this Act would be payable thereon.
