An Act to extend “The Fisheries Encouragement Act, 1885.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Fisheries Encouragement Act, 1901.”
2 Extension of period during which bonus is payable.
(1.)
The bonus which is authorised by “The Fisheries Encouragement Act, 1885,”
to be paid for canned and cured fish shall, notwithstanding anything in that Act to the contrary, be paid for the year ending the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and two.
(2.)
From and after the last-mentioned date the bonus aforesaid shall altogether cease to be payable.
3 Repeal.
“The Fisheries Encouragement Act Amendment Act, 1900,”
is hereby repealed.
