An Act to enable the Funds belonging to School Committees to be operated on through the Post-Office Savings-Bank.
Preamble.
WHEREAS it is expedient to make provision to enable School Committees to deal with their funds through the Post-Office Savings-Bank:
Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The School Committees’ Funds Act, 1903.”
2 Funds may be operated on through the Post-Office Savings-Bank.
Notwithstanding anything in “The Education Act, 1877,”
School Committees may lodge the School Fund in the Post-Office Savings-Bank; and no moneys shall be drawn out of such Savings-Bank except by authority of the Committee contained in a written order signed by the Chairman and one other member of the Committee, such written order to be presented to the Postmaster on withdrawal of any moneys by the Committee.
3 Regulations.
The Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, make regulations for carrying the provisions of this Act into effect.
