An Act to make Further Provision for prohibiting the Introduction and Removal of Diseased Animal Manures.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Stock Act Amendment Act, 1903”
; and it shall form part of and be read together with “The Stock Act, 1893.”
2 Stock Act extended to animal manures, &c.
(1.)
All the provisions of “The Stock Act, 1893,”
relating to the prevention of the introduction into the colony or spread of diseases affecting stock (including the powers conferred upon the Governor in Council by sections twenty-one and twenty-three of that Act to make, alter, vary, or revoke regulations for the purposes therein mentioned) shall extend and apply to bones, bonedust, and other animal manures of every description, and to every other specified substance, material, and thing which in the opinion of the Governor is likely to introduce disease, in the same manner as if the same were stock.
(2.)
All regulations heretofore made under that Act by the Governor in Council for the purpose of prohibiting or restricting the importation or introduction of bones, bonedust, or other animal manures shall be deemed to be as valid as if made under this Act.
