An Act to amend the Law relating to the Salaries of the Judges of the Supreme Court.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Supreme Court Judges’ Salaries Act, 1904.”
2 Appropriation for salaries of Supreme Court Judges.
In lieu of the sum granted by “The Civil List Act, 1863,”
as amended by “The Supreme Court Judge Appointment Act, 1900,”
for defraying the expenses of the salaries of the Judges of the Supreme Court, there is hereby substituted the sum of eleven thousand pounds.
3 Application of moneys appropriated.
The said sum shall, without further appropriation than this Act, be applied in paying to the Judges of the said Court respectively the annual salaries following, that is to say,—
| Annual salary of the Chief Justice | £2,000 |
| Annual salaries of five puisne Judges, each one thousand eight hundred pounds | 9,000 |
| Total | £11,000 |
4 Repeal.
“The Supreme Court Judge Appointment Act, 1900,”
is hereby repealed.
