An Act to make Better Provision for computing the Retiring-allowance of Railway Servants in certain Cases.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title
The Short Title of this Act is “The Railway Service Computation Act, 1904.”
2 Provincial service to be counted.
(1.)
For the purpose of computing retiring-allowances of contributors under “The Government Railways Superannuation Fund Act, 1902,”
it is hereby declared that provincial service shall count as service in the Government Railways Department in all cases in which such provincial service was continuous with service under the Department.
(2.)
This section shall apply to all retiring-allowances granted under the above-mentioned Act before the passing of this Act.
