An Act to extend the Provisions of “The Savings Bank Profits Act, 1878.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is“The Savings-banks Profits Act, 1906.”
2 Repeal.
Section fourteen of “The Savings Bank Profits Act, 1878,”
is hereby repealed.
3 Section 2 of Amendment Act amended.
Section two of “The Savings-bank Profits Act Amendment Act, 1902,”
is hereby amended by repealing the words “in Otago, so far as future profits are concerned,”
and by inserting the word “museum”
after the word “library”
in the same section.
4 Payment of trustees.
There shall be payable out of the profits of a savings-bank, as the trustees may from time to time determine, to each trustee a sum not exceeding one pound for each meeting which he attends, and not exceeding twelve pounds in any one year.
5 Vacation of office by absence.
If any trustee without leave absents himself from three consecutive meetings he shall thereupon be deemed to have vacated his office.
