An Act to amend “The Opium Prohibition Act, 1901.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Opium Prohibition Act Amendment Act, 1906”
; and it shall form part of and be read together with “The Opium Prohibition Act, 1901”
(hereinafter referred to as “the principal Act”
).
2 Retailers of opium to keep book.
(1.)
Every person who purchases opium from the holder of a permit shall from time to time enter or cause to be entered in a book kept for that purpose the like entries and particulars as are prescribed by section four of the principal Act in the case of the holder of the permit.
(2.)
Sections four and five of the principal Act shall, mutatis mutandis, extend and apply to every such person.
