An Act to amend “The Legislative Officers’ Salaries Act, 1867.”

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act is “The Legislative Officers’ Salaries Act Amendment Act, 1906.”

2 Schedule to principal Act amended.

The Schedule to “The Legislative Officers’ Salaries Act, 1867” (hereinaftercalled “the principal Act”), is hereby amended, in the case of the House of Representatives, by increasing the salaries of the Speaker and the Chairman of Committees to eight hundred pounds and five hundred pounds respectively.

3 Commencement of Act.

This Act shall be deemed to have been in operation from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and six.
