An Act to amend the Gold Duty Act, 1908.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Gold Duty Amendment Act, 1909.
2 Section 8 of the Gold Duty Act, 1908, amended.
Section eight of the Gold Duty Act, 1908, is hereby amended by inserting, after the word “accordingly”
in subsection two, the words “unless the Minister thinks fit to accept any other evidence as to the quantity and fineness of such gold, in which case duty shall be levied and paid in accordance with the facts so proved to the satisfaction of the Minister.”
