This Act may be cited as the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1910, and shall form part of and be read together with the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

Section five of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding to paragraph (c) thereof the following words: “A copy of every such special order shall be forwarded to the Minister by the local authority making the same within one month after the making thereof, and the Minister shall thereupon cause the same to be gazetted.”

Section nine of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words “to the satisfaction of the Inspector.”

Section nine of the principal Act is hereby further amended by omitting therefrom the words “at the proper season of the year,” wherever those words occur in that section.

Where the occupier of land is by paragraphs (b), (c), or (d) of section nine of the principal Act required to trim or cut any hedges on that land, or to clear the same of noxious weeds, he shall perform those duties at such times as may be directed by regulations in that behalf, and in default of such regulations, then at the proper season of the year.

Section ten of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “to duly comply with such notice” in subsection three, the words “he commits an offence against this Act, and.”

The Second Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting therein the words “Ragwort, or ragweed (Senecio jacobaea)”; and by omitting, after the word “Blackberry,” the words “(Rubus fruticosus).”

The Third Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words “Ragwort, or ragweed (Senecio jacobaea).”

The Fourth Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting, after the word “Blackberry,” the words “(Rubus fruticosus).”

The Fifth Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “effectively complied with,” the words “being not later than the day of  , 19 .”
