This Act may be cited as the Friendly Societies Amendment Act, 1914, and shall form part of and be read together with the Friendly Societies Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

The Registrar may, if he thinks fit, in his discretion, exempt any society or branch from the requirements of section thirty of the principal Act in respect of any amendment providing for the postponement or waiver of the payment of the whole or any part of any contribution payable by—

This section shall continue in force until the thirty-first day of December, nineteen hundred and fifteen, on which date it shall be deemed to be repealed:

Provided that the repeal of this Act shall not affect the validity of any amendment registered before that date.
