An Act to amend the Local Railways Act, 1914.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Local Railways Amendment Act, 1915, and shall form part of and be read together with the Local Railways Act, 1914 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Section 50 of principal Act amended.
Section fifty of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after subsection four, the following subsection:—
“(4a.)
An Order in Council under this section may authorize the construction of a railway extending beyond the limits of the district for such distance as may be necessary for the purpose of effecting a connection with a Government railway.”
3 Section 56 of principal Act amended.
Section fifty-six of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, in subsection one after the word “within,”
the words “or beyond the limits of.”
