An Act to amend the Statutes Compilation Act, 1908.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Statutes Compilation Amendment Act, 1915, and shall form part of and be read together with the Statutes Compilation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Compilation may be enacted in the session in which resolution was passed.
(1.)
Notwithstanding anything in the principal Act, a resolution passed in any session by both Houses of Parliament directing the compilation with its amendments of any Act may, if so stated in the resolution, be given effect to and the compilation may be enacted during the session in which the resolution was passed.
(2.)
For the purpose of enabling effect to be given to any such resolution, but not further or otherwise, the principal Act shall be read and construed as if—
(a.)
The words “after the termination of the session in which such resolution was passed”
were omitted from subsection one of section two, and the words “after the passing of such resolution”
substituted therefor; and
(b.)
The words “who shall lay the same on the table at the commencement of the next succeeding session”
were omitted from section three, and the words “who shall thereupon lay the same on the table”
substituted therefor.
