An Act to amend the State Forests Act, 1908.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the State Forests Amendment Act. 1919, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the State Forests Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 National-endowment lands may be set apart as provisional State forests.
(1.)
The power conferred on the Governor-General in Council by section thirty-four of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918, to set apart any Crown lands as provisional State forests shall extend, and be deemed as from the passing of that Act to have extended, so as to authorize the setting-apart of areas of national-endowment land as provisional State forests.
Revenues to be apportioned between National Endowment Account and State Forests Account.
(2.)
The revenues derived from any national-endowment land, being a provisional. State forest, shall be paid into the State Forests Account under the principal Act, and one-half of the net revenues (after deduction of the expenses of administration) shall, as and when the Minister of Finance so directs, be transferred from the State Forests Account to the National Endowment Account.
