An Act to repeal certain Enactments, to revive certain Expired Enactments, and to continue the Operation of certain Expiring Enactments.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Statutes Repeal and Expiring Laws Continuance Act, 1919.
2 Certain expired enactments revived.
The enactments mentioned in the First Schedule hereto are hereby revived as from the date of the expiry thereof, and shall be deemed to have been continuously in force thereafter.
3 Operation of certain expiring enactments continued.
The enactments mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto shall continue in force until the thirty-first day of August, nineteen hundred and twenty, and shall then expire unless further continued.
4 Repeals.
The enactments mentioned in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby repealed to the extent indicated in that Schedule.
5 Duration of section 32 of Appropriation Act, 1916 (relating to Customs duties payable on importation of wheat and flour), extended.
Section thirty-two of the Appropriation Act, 1916, is hereby amended by omitting the word “six”
before the word “months”
in subsection one and also in subsection four, and in each case substituting the word “twelve.”
