An Act to amend the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Master and Apprentice Amendment Act, 1924, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Master and Apprentice Act, 1908.

2 Minister may execute indentures of apprenticeship to occupation of farming for boys without parent or guardian in New Zealand.

Section five of the Master and Apprentice Amendment Act, 1920, is hereby amended by omitting from subsection two the words “(if he has no parent or guardian),” and substituting the words “(if he has no parent or guardian in New Zealand).”

3 Part II of Master and Apprentice Amendment Act, 1920, to be administered by Minister of Labour.

(1.)

Section six of the Master and Apprentice Amendment Act, 1920, is hereby amended by omitting the words “Minister of Lands,” and substituting the words “Minister of Labour.”

(2.)

Section five of the said Act is hereby amended by omitting the words “of Lands” after the word “Minister” wherever it occurs.
