An Act to extend the Operation of the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Extension Act, 1930, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Extension of period within which local authorities may borrow money in relief of unemployment.
(1)
No moneys shall be borrowed under the authority of the principal Act after the thirtieth day of June, nineteen hundred and thirty-one.
Consequential repeals.
(2)
The Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Extension Act, 1929, and subsection one of section two of the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Amendment Act, 1928, are hereby repealed.
