This Act may be cited as the Taupiri Drainage and River District Amendment Act, 1931, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Taupiri Drainage and River District Act, 1929 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

All rates made by the Taupiri Board under the principal Act or any other Act shall be made and levied on an acreage basis.

The Taupiri Board may, out of its funds, pay any expenses incurred by any local authority or by the Woodlands Swamp Amalgamation Committee in connection with the proposal to make provision for the carrying-out of a scheme of land-drainage or river-protection for the Taupiri Swamp and the proposal to constitute one district for such purpose.
