This Act may be cited as the Thames Borough Commissioner Amendment Act, 1937, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Thames Borough Commissioner Act, 1932 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

Section nine of the principal Act (as amended by section three of the Thames Borough Commissioner Amendment Act, 1934, and by section eight of the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act, 1934–35) is hereby further amended by omitting from subsection one the reference to the second Wednesday in May, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and substituting a reference to the second Wednesday in May, nineteen hundred and forty-one.

Section three of the Thames Borough Commissioner Amendment Act, 1934, and so much of the Schedule to the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act, 1934–35, as relates to the said section three, are hereby repealed.

Section twelve of the Thames Borough Commissioner Amendment Act, 1934, is hereby amended by omitting the reference to the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and substituting a reference to the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and forty-one.

Section seventeen of the Thames Borough Commissioner Amendment Act, 1934, is hereby amended by omitting from subsection one and subsection three the references to the fifteenth day of July, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and substituting in each case a reference to the fifteenth day of July, nineteen hundred and thirty-nine.

Section twelve of the Thames Harbour Act, 1936, is hereby amended by omitting from subsection two the reference to the first day of April, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and substituting a reference to the first day of April, nineteen hundred and thirty-nine.
