An Act to extend the Duration of the Present Parliament.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Prolongation of Parliament Act, 1941.
2 Duration of present Parliament extended for one year.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section two of the Electoral Amendment Act, 1937, the House of Representatives as existing at the passing of this Act shall, unless the General Assembly is sooner dissolved, continue until the first day of November, nineteen hundred and forty-two, and no longer.
