This Act may be cited as the Emergency Regulations Amendment Act, 1941, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Emergency Regulations Act, 1939 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

Section four of the Emergency Regulations Amendment Act, 1940, is hereby amended by omitting from subsection one the reference to the thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred and forty-one, and substituting a reference to the thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred and forty-two.

In paragraph (e) of subsection two of section three of the principal Act, and in subsection four of that section, the expression “enactment” shall mean any enactment passed before the passing of this Act.

This section is in substitution for subsection two of section two of the Emergency Regulations Amendment Act, 1940, and that subsection is hereby accordingly repealed.

All emergency regulations heretofore made under the principal Act (including regulations made under the joint authority of that Act and any other Act) shall for all purposes be deemed, as from the making thereof, to have been made with full power and authority, and to be and to have been valid and of full effect; and the powers, rights, duties, and liabilities of all persons in respect of all things done or suffered, whether before or after the passing of this Act, shall be determined accordingly.
