An Act to amend the War Damage Act, 1941.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
1941, No. 17
This Act may be cited as the War Damage Amendment Act, 1942, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the War Damage Act, 1941 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Extending definition of “war damage”

Section two of the principal Act is hereby amended as from the passing thereof by inserting in the definition of the term “war damage”
in subsection one, after paragraph (d), the following paragraph:—
“(e)
Damage occurring (whether accidentally or not) as the direct result of measures taken under proper authority with a view to destroying any property for the purpose of preventing it from falling into the hands of the enemy or being used by the enemy:”.
