An Act to amend the Forests Act 1949

1 Short Title

  • This Act may be cited as the Forests Amendment Act 1960, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Forests Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Director-General of Forests

  • (1) [Repealed]

    (2) This subsection substituted the definition of the term Director-General (now Secretary) for a definition of the term Director in section 2(1) of the principal Act.

    (3) 

    • (a) This paragraph amended sections 4, 59, 68, and 72 of the principal Act.

    • (b) This paragraph amended section 9(1) of the principal Act.

    (4) All references to the Director of Forestry in any other enactment or in any document whatsoever shall be read hereafter as references to the Secretary of Forestry.

    Repealed, as from 1 April 1987, by section 12 State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 1987 (1987 No 117).
