Infants Act Repeal Act 1989: repealed, on 3 June 2017, by section 3(1) of the Statutes Repeal Act 2017 (2017 No 23).

An Act to repeal the Infants Act 1908

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Infants Act Repeal Act 1989.

2 Repeal of Infants Act 1908 and amendments

The following enactments are hereby repealed:

(a)

the Infants Act 1908:

(b)

the Infants Amendment Act 1908:

(c)

so much of Schedule 2 of the Adoption Act 1955 as relates to the Infants Act 1908:

(d)

so much of Schedule 7 of the Hospitals Act 1957 as relates to the Infants Amendment Act 1908:

(e)

section 5 of the Evidence Amendment Act 1958:

(f)

so much of Schedule 5 of the Crimes Act 1961 as relates to The Infants Act 1908:

(g)

the Infants Amendment Act 1963:

(h)

so much of the Schedule of the Guardianship Act 1968 as relates to the Infants Act 1908:

(i)

so much of Schedule 2 of the Minors’ Contracts Act 1969 as relates to the Infants Act 1908:

(j)

section 22 of the Department of Social Welfare Act 1971:

(k)

so much of Schedule 2 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1974 as relates to the Infants Act 1908.
