This Act may be cited as the District Courts Amendment Act 1950, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Courts Act 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

This Act shall come into force on 1 December 1950.

This subsection substituted section 76 of the principal Act.

Notwithstanding anything contained in this section, where any notice of motion on appeal is lodged with the Registrar of the High Court, pursuant to the principal Act, before the date of the commencement of this Act, and the appeal is not finally determined before that date, the provisions of the principal Act shall continue to apply to that appeal in all respects as if this section had not been passed.
